A flat die forms the pellet
The mill applies pressure between rollers and a perforated flat die, forcing prepared material through the die holes. The emerging strands are cut into pellets. Die selection therefore relates to both pellet diameter and the behaviour of the feedstock, rather than diameter alone.

Keep wood-pellet and feed-pellet ratings separate
The ZLSP200B wood-pellet table lists 80–120 kg/h with a 7.5 kW three-phase motor. This is a reference for the manufacturer’s stated use, not a fixed output for every wood species, particle distribution or moisture level.
Pellet mills can also be marketed for animal feed, where different material properties and dies produce different ratings. A feed-pellet capacity should not be carried over into a wood-fuel enquiry. Specify the intended biomass and end product before comparing machines.
Define the preparation and downstream work
Sawdust that looks similar can behave differently under pressure. Send the material species, particle-size range, moisture information and desired pellet size so a trial can establish a suitable die and operating method. Oversized pieces or unsuitable moisture may require preparation equipment.
