Select the 1.5 hp row from the required duty
FSM21.1 and FSM21.5 share a gallery image but have different motor and hydraulic data. This reference uses only the FSM21.1 50 Hz row, with a rated 52.8 US gpm at 45.9 ft.
Calculate total head from lift, pipe or hose losses and discharge conditions. Ask for the approved frequency curve, keeping the maximum-flow and maximum-head figures as separate endpoints rather than one guaranteed operating point.

Check liquid properties and intake conditions
MEUDY describes an agitator-assisted semi-vortex drainage family with a published 6 mm passage. That passage and the stated liquid limits should be checked against actual solids and abrasive content.
Describe temperature, pH, solids size and concentration, operating level and likely sediment. Confirm how the pump is supported and controlled in the pit, and specify any level control as part of the package instead of assuming a separate float variant is included.
Use the row-specific drawing for installation
The official 50 Hz FSM21.1 row links this outline drawing. It gives the outlet and envelope needed to review hose connections, pit clearance, lifting access and cable routing.
Agree the exact model code, supply protection, starting controls and spare seals or wear components. The 60 Hz and higher-power variants require their own duty and electrical checks even where the exterior image is shared.

Planning your configuration
- Provide flow, total head, site supply, water properties and control requirements. Confirm the approved 50 Hz curve and installed arrangement.
- Shared images do not make FSM21.1 and FSM21.5 interchangeable. Confirm controls, certification and service scope without assuming stock or GLOBSEEK inspection.
