A longer drum within the 316L range
ED-316L-400B uses the same listed drum diameter as the 300B and 500B, with an intermediate drum length. This gives a physical selection point for a filter bay. It does not establish a universal water flow: screen aperture, solids loading and available hydraulic head must also be specified.

Provide for the backwash stream
The model table identifies a backwash pump and nozzle pressure alongside the drum drive. Arrange a suitable wash-water source and a solids-discharge route so captured material leaves the treatment loop. Confirm controls, allowable pressure and the actual supplied screen rather than selecting only by the 400B label.

Integrate mechanical filtration into the water loop
Use the published envelope to begin planning access, pipe routing and drum maintenance. Check the inlet and outlet levels against the culture tanks and the following treatment stage. Mechanical screening handles suspended particles; other RAS functions, including dissolved-waste treatment, need their own system design.

Planning your configuration
- State required flow, solids loading, screen aperture and available hydraulic head.
- Confirm wash-water quality, sludge drain connections and backwash-control scope.
- Request a model-specific general arrangement and materials schedule for the selected water chemistry.
