Measure trajectory in a suitable magnetic environment
The QL40-DEV-2G derives inclination and tool orientation from accelerometer and magnetometer measurements. Its azimuth is relative to magnetic north, so the investigation must define how that reference is used in the final borehole trajectory.
The source restricts the application to a non-magnetic environment and identifies open or plastic-cased holes. Confirm casing, nearby magnetic influences, centralisers and the quality checks needed before treating the orientation log as a usable trajectory.

Match the probe to the complete wireline system
The product is a QL middle sub that may operate alone with the required end components or within an appropriate tool stack. Specify the actual surface acquisition system, wireline and connections rather than selecting the probe in isolation.
Provide borehole depth and condition, temperature and pressure, cable type and intended tool stack. Confirm telemetry, centralisation and the recommended logging speed for the complete configuration, together with the supplied power and connector arrangements.
Agree the trajectory deliverables and software scope
The second illustration is a manufacturer example of deviation-log displays. It explains possible outputs such as azimuth, tilt, true vertical depth and horizontal displacement; it is not a GLOBSEEK borehole result.
Confirm the required coordinates, reference conventions, correction workflow and acceptance checks. Ask whether the appropriate processing software and deviation module are included or separately licensed, and request training and data examples for the intended acquisition package.

Planning your configuration
- Provide hole depth/casing, magnetic conditions, temperature/pressure and surface-system details. Confirm non-magnetic centralisation and the required reference/correction convention.
- Confirm the current tool revision, approved dimensions, compatibility and software licences. No stock, partnership or independently verified GLOBSEEK survey result is asserted.
