What this machine is built to do.

A resistive generator load bank draws a controlled electrical load so a generator or other power source can be tested under load. Resistive elements turn the consumed energy into heat, making the cooling arrangement and exhaust clearance part of the installation requirement. Select the rating, voltage, phase, frequency and loading steps around the source being tested. Resistive-only testing should be distinguished from reactive or combined RLC testing.
