Slurry pumps are selected for the solids and hydraulic conditions of the transfer duty. Describe the liquid, particle size, solids concentration, required flow and head, and operating schedule. Wetted-part materials, sealing and the drive arrangement need to suit that duty. The pictured BBP reference is a bare-shaft pump assembly; a motor, baseplate or complete installed package should be specified separately.
