What this machine is built to do.

A generator automatic voltage regulator senses electrical conditions and adjusts excitation through a defined interface. Regulators for shunt, auxiliary and permanent-magnet excitation are not automatically interchangeable. Identify the alternator and excitation arrangement, then confirm sensing voltage, excitation output, frequency and protection functions before selecting the module.
