Separate water circulation from biological load
EMBB-60 is a named column in eWater's four-model comparison. Its 60 m³/h value describes the listed hydraulic reference, while the Ø2250 × 2500 mm dimensions describe the vessel envelope. Neither figure alone determines the supported fish biomass or feed load.
Provide species, feeding schedule, temperature and water-quality targets. Request the design basis for the selected media, ammonia load and oxygen demand before fixing the biological stage.

eWater EMBB-family biofilter with external pipework. The pictured vessel is not identified as EMBB-60; request the model-specific nozzle and access drawing.
Coordinate the nitrification stage
The manufacturer describes bacteria converting ammonia through nitrite into nitrate on the filter substrate. Establish solids removal ahead of the biological stage and coordinate the oxygen and circulation requirements of the complete recirculating system.
Agree the media quantity, operating water level and commissioning procedure in the supplied process design. No removal-rate or maturation-time promise is inferred from the manufacturer's dimensional table.

Second manufacturer EMBB-series vessel view. It is a family equipment reference, rather than proof of an EMBB-60 farm installation or treatment result.
Plan access, interfaces and start-up
Use the vessel envelope to begin checking the installation space, then confirm inlet, outlet, drain and any air connections in a final EMBB-60 drawing. Provide access to inspect and maintain the vessel and its media.
Set a monitored start-up sequence with ammonia, nitrite and water-condition checks before introducing the planned feeding load. Confirm the nitrate-management method separately; nitrification does not by itself remove nitrate from the system.
Planning your configuration
- Provide the aquaculture feed load, water conditions and treatment targets.
- Confirm the biological sizing and media independently of the listed hydraulic flow.
- Agree solids pretreatment, oxygen, pipe interfaces and monitored commissioning.
